Destination Steel City!

2012 WFA American Conference Champions!

SANTEE (07-21-11) Out of all the teams the San Diego Surge (11-0) faced this season, the Dallas Diamonds (10-1) put up the best fight. When the 1st quarter ended, the Surge were only up 14-7. It looked like it was going to be a tug-of-war game, but after a 21-6 run in the 2nd quarter, the Surge never looked back and continued their dominate streak. The 56-29 victory earned them a 2nd consecutive appearance in the WFA National Championship.

Surge returns to Conference Championship

LA MESA (07-07-12) The San Diego Surge (10-0) clinched their 2nd consecutive berth in the WFA American Conference Championship after routing the Bay Area Bandits (8-2) 42-7 at Helix High School.

The Bandits became only the 2nd team to score on the Surge this season when they tied the game 7-7 in the 1st quarter. The Surge responded with 35 unanswered points which was enough to continue their reign towards the top of the Women's Football Alliance.

Next up is the Dallas Diamonds (10-0) in a rematch of last year's Conference Championship where the Surge earned a 48-20 victory. They will host this match up on July 21st at a time and location that will be announced soon.

The winner will advance to the WFA National Championship where they will face the winner of the National Conference title game between the Chicago Force (10-0) and defending champion Boston Militia (10-0). That game will take place on August 4th at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh. The action will be televised live on ESPN 3.
