Toreros are one win away from the playoffs

MOREHEAD, KY (11/09/2013) Junior receiver Reggie Bell caught nine passes for 211 yards and two touchdowns to help the University of San Diego Toreros (7-3, 6-1 PFL) blowout the Morehead State Eagles (3-7, 3-4 PFL) 59-3.

Led by senior Mason Mills, who went over 3,000 yards passing (3,176) for the season, the Toreros offense got off to a hot start scoring on three of its first four possessions. After an eight-yard touchdown run by Bug Rivera, Mills found Bell for two straight touchdown passes (9 & 70 yards) to put the Toreros up 21-3 at halftime.

Bell became the seventh player in USD history to go over 200 receiving yards (211) in a single game and the sixth to go over 1,000 yards (1,032) in a season.

The second half was all Toreros as they went on to score 35 unanswered points to seal the win.

The Toreros return home next Saturday to close out the regular season in what could be the biggest game in program history. Defending PFL co-champion Drake will attempt to spoil the Toreros' hopes for a third straight PFL title and a berth in the FCS playoffs.
