Women's Football Alliance
San Diego Surge (2-0) 54, Sin City Sun Devils (0-1) 12.

LAS VEGAS, NV (04/18/2015) Jessica Springer notched four touchdown runs as the San Diego Surge ended their trip to Vegas with another blowout win.

The tone was set early by all-purpose playmaker Deana Guidry, who scored off a 65-yard punt return and followed it up with a touchdown pass from Melissa Gallegos to give the Surge a 14-0 lead. After three consecutive scores by Springer, fellow running back Alexis Synder added two more endzone visits to her season stats.

The Surge went up 47-0 before the Sun Devils put up 12 points off two touchdowns in the fourth quarter. After a well-deserved bye week, the Surge return home on Saturday, May 2nd to host the Arizona Assassins.

Independent Women's Football League
Phoenix Phantomz (1-0) 14, North County Stars (0-2) 0.

FALLBROOK, CA (04/18/2015) In a defensive struggle, the defending Pacific West division champion Phantomz were only able to score twice, but it proved to be enough as the Stars failed to get on the board. Next week the Stars travel to Arizona to face the Tucson Moonson, the only team they've been able to defeat so far. The Moonson, who finished 1-5 last season, will be hosting it's regular-season opener.
