2014 Recap: 13-0 CIF-SD Division IV Champions (4-0 Coastal League, 1st)

Undefeated Bishop's faced their toughest challenge during the final game of their perfect season. Mater Dei, who the Knights defeated during the regular season, threatened to play spoiler with a 10-0 lead in the 4th quarter, but the Knights found a way to rally back and earn their fifth section title in school history. Despite their unblemished record, the Knights found themselves left out of the state playoffs.

2015 Outlook

Bishop's will enter the season with the longest active win streak in the county (13), but extending it will not be an easy task.

The Knights will be tested early when they travel to San Juan Capistrano for an intersectional matchup with St. Margaret's. They will have two weeks to prepare for the Division IV state finalist after what should be a hard fought battle against crosstown rival La Jolla.

The odds of running the table again are very slim, especially with the loss of two-way standout Bulla Graft and five senior linemen, but the Knights should have enough returning talent to earn a section title repeat and the state championship opportunity they missed out on last season.

Quarterback Griffin Seaman returns for his senior year after throwing for 2,076 yards and 37 touchdowns last season. He'll be joined by his primary target Mozes Mooney, who caught 68 passes for 817 yards and 14 scores as a freshman.
