FALLBROOK, CA (04/30/2016) Trailing 40-38 with the ball on the goal line, blockers led the way for quarterback Jane "Redd" Brinkman as she dove into the end zone for the game-winning touchdown.

A successful two-point conversion gave the North County Stars (2-1) a 46-40 lead with 26.1 seconds left to play, but an interception sealed the victory over the visiting Nevada Storm (0-3).

After overcoming a hard-fought battle that featured three lead changes in the fourth quarter, the Stars own a winning record for the first time in team history.

They could extend it next Saturday when the Bakersfield Bombers come to town looking for its first win in franchise history. The week one rematch is scheduled for a 3:00 p.m. kickoff at Calvin Christian High School in Escondido.
