PHOENIX, AZ (05/28/2016) Winners of four of its last five games, the North County Stars (5-2) completed a three-game road slate after overcoming a tough effort from the Phoenix Phantomz (2-4).

The 26-12 victory gives the Stars an opportunity to finish their historic regular season on a three-game winning streak when these teams face off again on June 11th.

Knengi Martin put North County on the board first with a 45-yard interception return for a score (her third of the year). Jennifer Strother's successful PAT kick gave the Stars a 7-0 lead with 4:23 left in the first quarter.

After Phoenix answered back with a touchdown of their own, a one-yard touchdown run by Adriana Bush extended North County's lead to 14-6 with 11:18 left in the half.

The Phantomz answered again with another trip to the end zone, but a second straight missed extra point kept the Stars in the lead at the half, 14-12.

The second half belonged to North County as 12 unanswered points in the fourth quarter sealed their second straight road win.
