USD Toreros hold off Dayton, keeps home win streak alive


Anthony Lawrence threw for 426 yards and three touchdowns to lead the University of San Diego Toreros (4-2, 3-0 PFL) to a 36-34 victory over the Dayton Flyers (3-4, 2-2 PFL) on Saturday afternoon at Torero Stadium.

Lawrence's top receiving target was Michael Bandy, who caught 11 passes for 201 yards and a score.

The win gives USD the longest active the longest active home winning streak in the FCS with 19 games, and extends their home streak against PFL opponents to 32.

The Toreros will hit the road next week for a 9 a.m. contest against the Butler Bulldogs.
