San Diego Mesa 68, Citrus 28
San Diego Mesa exploded for a 68-28 rout of Citrus in Glendora. Diesel Taylor threw for 234 yards and six touchdown passes, and the Olympians also got rushing scores as they built a 21-0 first-quarter lead and a 42-21 halftime advantage. Citrus got touchdowns through the air and on the ground, but the Owls could not keep pace with Mesa’s scoring barrage. Mesa overcame 16 penalties for 151 yards and turned the game into a blowout. San Diego Mesa improved to 3-0; Citrus fell to 0-3.
UCLA 28, San Diego State 10
At the Rose Bowl, UCLA broke open a close game with a 21-point fourth quarter to defeat San Diego State. Wayne Knight powered the Bruins with three rushing touchdowns—8, 7, and 36 yards—while Jaivian Thomas added a 1-yard scoring run. San Diego State stayed within reach thanks to a 46-yard field goal from Cooper DiLeva and a 19-yard touchdown pass from Jayden Denegal to Jackson Ford, but the Aztecs could not match UCLA’s late surge. The Bruins finished with 214 net rushing yards and held SDSU to 144 on the ground and just 45 through the air. Nico Iamaleava threw for 151 yards as UCLA improved to 3-0, while San Diego State fell to 1-1.
Southwestern 34, Long Beach 14
Southwestern stayed unbeaten by racing to a 34-6 halftime lead and cruising past Long Beach at DeVore Stadium. The Jaguars got a 93-yard kickoff return for a touchdown from Kiram Dallas and an 11-yard interception return for a score by Marlon Ames. Jamar Johnson and Caleb Blocker also added rushing touchdowns, and Daniel Meadows converted all four extra points. Long Beach got touchdown catches from Hezekiah Robinson (48 yards) and Kevin Jennett (18 yards), but the Vikings could not overcome Southwestern’s early explosion. Southwestern improved to 3-0; Long Beach fell to 0-3.
Idaho State 59, San Diego 17
In Pocatello, Idaho State raced to a 21-0 first-quarter lead and never looked back. Jordan Cooke threw three touchdown passes, including an 8-yarder to Carson Sudbury and a 74-yard strike to Chedon James, while Davis Harsin added a 4-yard scoring run. San Diego briefly cut the deficit to 21-10 on Dom Nankil’s 7-yard run and Emiliano Salazar’s 37-yard field goal, but the Bengals answered with a 42-yard Mason Lindberg field goal before halftime and then broke the game open. Collin Lewis returned an interception 28 yards for a touchdown, Tytan Mason added a 21-yard scoring run, and Idaho State later connected on touchdown passes of 79 and 90 yards. The Bengals totaled 640 yards, including 462 through the air, while USD managed 357 yards and turned the ball over twice. Idaho State improved to 3-0; Toreros dropped to 0-2.
Antelope Valley 28, Grossmont 27
Antelope Valley erased a fourth-quarter deficit to stun Grossmont College 28-27 in El Cajon. Grossmont led 10-0 after the first quarter and 17-7 at halftime, then pushed its advantage to 24-14 before the Marauders rallied. Tyson Smith threw a touchdown pass and also ran for a score, while Felix Diaz and Daste Lee added rushing touchdowns. The Griffins were hurt by 15 penalties for 129 yards and could not hold on. Antelope Valley improved to 3-1; Grossmont dropped to 2-2.
Pasadena City 26, Palomar 17
Pasadena City built a 14-0 lead and held off Palomar 26-17 in San Marcos. Xavier Buckles threw three touchdown passes—two to Cam Mitchell (25 and 12 yards) and one to Dmariya Thomas (13 yards)—while Zack Hutchinson added field goals of 29 and 30 yards. Palomar answered with a 44-yard touchdown pass from Noah Schuback to Princeton Anderson and a 12-yard scoring strike to Phoenix Johnson, plus a 26-yard field goal by Carson Beard. Pasadena finished with 322 total yards and limited Palomar to 67 rushing yards. Both teams moved to 2-1.
