Baltimore 34 San Francisco 31

NEW ORLEANS (02/03/12) The Baltimore Ravens held off a second half comeback attempt by the San Francisco 49ers to win their second Super Bowl in franchise history.

Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco completed 22 out of 33 of his passes for 287 yards and three touchdowns earning him the Super Bowl MVP award.

Jacoby Jones returned the opening kickoff of the second half 108 yards for a touchdown to put the Ravens up 28-6. Moments later a power outage delayed the game for 34 minutes.

After the game resumed with 13:22 left in the third quarter, the 49ers went on a 25-6 scoring run, but it wasn't enough to prevent their first Super Bowl loss in six appearances.
