Enforcers vs. LAPD postponed due to theft

During a charity football game between the San Diego Enforcers and Los Angeles Police Department Centurions last Saturday at Salesian High School in Los Angeles, unknown suspect(s) broke into the Enforcers' locker room and took personal items including firearms, badges, jewelry, and cash that belonged to the players.

After the items were discovered missing upon the team's return to the locker room at halftime, the Enforcers and Centurions decided to postpone the game.

According to a report by KTLA, no items were stolen from LAPD players.

Detectives from the LAPD are actively investigating the case and no additional information is available at this time.

"The National Public Safety Football League is aware of the incident and remains committed to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for all players and fans," said David King, President of the Enforcers.

2014 Surge aims to reclaim national title

Return of the Founding Mothers

With a limited roster and the direction of new ownership, the San Diego Surge finished the 2013 campaign with a 9-2 record. It was another impressive season for the defending Women’s Football Alliance champions, but it ended with a 40-14 loss to the Central Cal War Angels in the conference semifinals.

It was their first season without quarterback and team co-owner Melissa Gallegos. After leading the team to a hard-fought victory in the 2012 WFA national championship game, the 11-year veteran and her partner Christina Carrillo decided to take a hiatus from football.

“I felt it was the right time to step away and let the mind and body heal,” said Gallegos. “I also had my first son Braydon and felt it was the right time to step away and spend time with him.”
