Women's Football: Stars use big second half to dominate Sacramento

SACRAMENTO, CA (05/21/2016) With the help of a ground attack that accounted for more than 150 yards and two touchdowns, the North County Stars (4-2) rolled to a 32-7 victory over the Sacramento Sirens (1-4) Saturday evening in Hughes Stadium at Sacramento City College.

After Sacramento drew first blood and led 7-0 at the end of the first quarter, North County answered back to force a 7-7 tie at the half.

The second half was dominated by the Stars, who completed the game on a 25-0 scoring run.

Last season the Stars played two straight games against the Sirens, dropping both by a combined score of 119-0.

What a difference a year makes!

Next Saturday the Stars will end their three-game road slate with another revenge game. This time they take on the Phoenix Phantomz, who also dealt them two shutout losses in 2015.

Following a bye week, the teams will meet again at Fallbrook High School for the regular season finale.
