A New Leader at the Helm
Sean Lewis takes over as the 19th head coach in San Diego State football history, bringing a dynamic offensive philosophy that has already turned heads across the college football landscape. Lewis arrives at SDSU after serving as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Colorado under Deion Sanders, where he orchestrated one of the nation’s top passing attacks. Before that, he was the head coach at Kent State, where he set numerous program records and established himself as a rising star in the coaching ranks.
Reflecting on the journey leading up to this season, Coach Lewis said, “I’m feeling good. This is everything that we’ve done since we’ve gotten here—creating buzz, doing the surfing, and all the community activities. But now, we’re here to pour into the guys and maximize these 12 opportunities, these 12 games that count the most.”
His excitement is palpable as he prepares to lead the Aztecs into a new chapter.
