USD Toreros 2016 Football Schedule

Led by fourth-year head coach Dale Lindsey, the University of San Diego Toreros will compete in 11 football games during its 2016 campaign, including six at home and five on the road.

For the sixth straight season, the Toreros will open their home schedule against the Western New Mexico Mustangs. USD is a perfect 5-0 against the Division II program after pulling off a 45-21 victory last year.

The following week has the Toreros traveling to San Luis Obispo where they'll take on the Cal Poly Mustangs of the Big Sky Conference. This will be the fifth meeting between the teams, with the Mustangs owning a 4-0 all-time advantage. The previous contest took place during the 2014 regular season finale at Toreros Stadium, with Cal Poly coming away with a 34-3 triumph.

After a bye week, USD will host its Pioneer Football League opener against the Dayton Flyers, the reigning co-champion and automatic qualifier for the FCS Playoffs. The Toreros will be seeking redemption after Dayton edged them 13-12 in Ohio last season. It was USD's only PFL defeat of the year.

Adriana Bush (#43) & Leslie Hubbell (#31) rushed for North County's first three touchdowns against Bakersfield.

ESCONDIDO, CA (05/07/2016) For the second time this season, the North County Stars (3-1) needed just one half of football to defeat the Bakersfield Bombers (0-3).

Adriana Bush led all rushers with 252 yards and two scores to propel the Stars to a 27-0 victory Saturday evening.

When these teams met in week one, North County got off to a 26-0 lead before the game was called off early in the third quarter due to lightning.

This time it was multiple injuries suffered by the Bombers that put an end to this game during halftime.
